狭間 Hazama is a poignant 10-minute film I wrote, produced, and directed. It's a hybrid production blending live-action footage and AI visual effects. It carries the endorsement of Suicide Zero, a Swedish non-profit working to prevent suicide among young people, and the support of Runway, who granted access to their complete AI toolkit. The film premiered worldwide at the AI Film Festival Japan 2026, screened at TiB Tokyo Innovation Base and a finalist at the Shift Cinema Toronto, and the AI Media Festival Los Angeles. The film is IMDb and MUBI database qualified.

The title draws from Japanese — meaning a gap, an in-between, a liminal space. The film is a love letter to Tokyo and a bridge between Swedish and Japanese cultures, both of which are close to my heart. Its central themes around perinatal mental health are woven into a story designed to inspire not only those who feel they don't belong, but anyone moved to spark meaningful change in their lives and communities. A heartfelt endeavor a year and a half in the making, it finally sees the light of day thanks to the unwavering belief and support of incredible institutions, studios – including Infinity Studios Sweden, Karlsborg Kommun, Montana and Cuebric New York – and artists Moby, the Jóhann Jóhannsson Estate, Lee Ranaldo & Michael Valera, J.S. Bach/ SBE Musik.
